About the Principal
Ruben Ibarra is the principal owner of RI Investigative Services, LLC. He's a retired law enforcement officer with 29 years of field and management experience. During Ruben's law enforcement career, he worked as a detective to investigate major narcotic and money laundering cases while collaborating with local, state and federal agencies. Ruben worked undercover, and managed complex cases that required the use of surveillance, informants and electronic surveillance. As a sergeant, Ruben was assigned to Internal Affairs where he investigated a variety of cases, including corruption, misconduct, use of force, and officer involved shootings. Ruben served as a commanding officer and was responsible for managing multiple department functions including Investigations Division, Forensic Crime Lab, Traffic Division, and served as a District Commander. As an ancillary responsibility, he served as the Chairperson of the Shooting Review Board and Critical Incident Review Committee (SRB). The SRB was charged with determining whether serious use of force was justified and making training recommendations. In his last assignment, Ruben had management responsibility of a multi-agency narcotic trafficking task force that included local, county, and federal law enforcement agencies. The task force focused on sophisticated narcotic and money laundering organizations operating domestically and abroad.
